This book is thrilling and exciting. You never know what is going to happen next.The main characters in the book are Max-Ernest (that's his real name) and Cass.
Max-Ernest is an 11 year old boy with terrible allergies. His name is a result from a fight between his parents. His mom wanted Max and his dad wanted Earnest, so the doctor stepped in (declaring a tie) and that is how he became Max-Ernest. After the argument over his name, his parents got divorced. Not having anywhere to go, they live in a house that is split down the middle. This way each parent can see their son.
Now about Cass, she is a survivalist. She is never without her backpack of tools. This becomes essential as Cass and Max-Ernest team up as collaborators to stop Dr. L and Mrs. Mauvais from destroying mankind.
